The Impala is capable of running at speeds of 75 – 90 km/hr and runs in zigzags to avoid being caught by predators. It is the most common grazing mammal in southern and Eastern Africa.
Impalas and Gazelle are the most commonly hunted animals, but the populations remain stable despite the deprivation.
Their habitat is grassland and woodland edges.
