Decompression stop with visitor

76cm x 53cm
Cobra water mixable oils on textured board.
I have recreated one of our most memorable diving experiences.
Returning from a deep dive off of the coast of Isabella in the Galapagos, Maureen and I were doing a decompression stop at 5 meters in open water, hanging on a surface marker bouy.
Out of the mist a very large Galapagos shark came lazily gliding directly towards us. It passed almost within touching distance and continued quite unperturbed on it’s way.
We surfaced and returned to the dive boat for a change of underwear!
