The leopard shark is a member of the dogfish family that can grow up to 1,5 meters long. They are found along the coast of Oregon extending down the pacific seaboard as far as Mexico. They have slender bodies and swim close to the seabed in shallow water. So named for their dark spots and elongated patches, they pose no threat to humans and actively hunt at night.
