Salt water crocodiles

Cobra water mixable oils on textured board.
In 1997 Maureen and I spent some time diving the Great Barrier Reef from Port Douglas in Queensland and decided to visit the Daintree River and Cape Tribulation; both areas being retreats for salt water crocodiles. We saw many fine examples from the safety of a boat on the river, but it was a bit unnerving walking the wide sandy beaches of the cape. All beaches were equipped with emergency supplies of vinegar for dousing stings from box jellyfish, and everywhere were warnings of the presence of salt water crocodiles both in the shallows and on the foreshore. Not the most inviting holiday resort!!
