The tiger shark is a large fish capable of growing up to 5 meters in length. They are found in many tropical and temperate waters. It gets its name from the pattern of dark stripes on the flanks, although these stripes fade as it matures. These sharks have a very varied diet with a range of prey that includes fish, seals, birds, squid, turtles and dolphins. They are also known to eat a lot of garbage. The tiger shark is second only to the great white shark in recorded fatal attacks on humans!
