The blue ringed octopus can intensify and pulsate the brilliant blue rings on it’s body when threatened.The bite from this octopus is deadly and there is no antitoxin for it’s venom.
Despite it’s size (4cm – 6cm) a single bite will kill an adult human being causing first respiratory problems followed by paralysis.The good news is they are shy and retiring creatures and only retaliate when harassed or poked.
