I first met the tompot blenny when training as a diver along the Dorset coast in 1962. They are tiny fishes living in holes and crevices of the shallow rock reefs. They are feisty little blighters with plenty of attitude. The bunch of red tentacles above each eye give them a comical look but they are fearless and prepared to defend their homes against all threats , including divers
